A leadership 360° feedback survey is a tool in which leaders rate themselves and receive confidential, anonymous feedback from their manager, peers, and direct reports - commonly known as the raters. Customers, suppliers and others can also be invited to be raters.


The purpose of a 360 degree feedback survey in leadership development is simply for managers and leaders within organizations to get a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses while providing a base for the creation of an individual development plan.

A 360° feedback survey;

  • Measures leadership behaviors and competencies
  • Provides feedback on how others perceive an employee
  • Addresses relevant leadership skills such as communication, planning, and accountability
  • Brings focus on subjective areas such as teamwork, character, and leadership effectiveness

 

 


 

 

 

 

The feedback survey, administered electronically, includes leadership competency questions that are measured on a 5 point rating scale. The raters are also asked to provide written comments.

The 360° feedback tool will tabulate the results and presents those results in a format that helps the feedback recipient create an individual development plan.
